Kicking off this week, the NYCxDesign Festival runs through May 20 with a plethora of exciting events held throughout the city. From must-see exhibitors to can’t-miss showroom presentations, bookmark this page for the scoop on all the best stops to make at ICFF, Afternoon Light and around the boroughs.

WHAT TO SEE AT ICFF

ICFF takes place from May 17 to 19 at the Javits Center (429 11th Ave). You can register for the show here.

Ligne Roset displays its latest collection, including Erwan Bouroullec’s modular Kobold sofa system and Annie Hiéronimus’s Sandra chair, an all-foam design with enveloping curves. (Booth 1005)

Brooklyn ceramics brand Sin unveils Field, a modular lighting system inspired by the work of artist James Turrell, alongside the monolithic Osen linear pendant, which is composed of brass and stoneware. (Booth 816)

The French Art of Making” exhibits a selection of bespoke works by 14 craft-driven designers and artists from France, including Atelier de la Torre, La Compagnie du Verre and Andrée Putman Studio. (Booth 145)

Connecticut lighting brand Juniper presents contract and hospitality furniture brand HBF’s new collection, Rhine, designed by Maryland designer Ken Reinhard. The standout: a low-profile club chair that can be combined with coordinating side tables in various configurations. (Booth 928)

Gantri rolls out 10 state-of-the-art wireless designs made in collaboration with San Francisco–based studio Ammunition, including mini, table and task lights, plus a floor lantern. (Booth 1029)

Amsterdam-based studio Taiwan-Lantern debuts Lotus Charm, an artisan-made bamboo floor lantern with marble and leather accents offered in two hand-colored hues, pale pink Huo and terra cotta Tu. (Booth 843)

New York–based architecture and interiors firm Dunham Robinson debuts DuroDeco, a new furniture brand featuring made-to-order coffee, side, console and dining tables with customizable wood bases and stone tops. (Booth 833)

Ethnicraft showcases its latest introductions, including the Roan lounge chair—which draws inspiration from a 1930s Paul Poiret design—and the teak-framed Monocle outdoor coffee table. (Booths 729–735)

WHAT TO SEE AT WANTED

Wanted is a 20,000-square-foot exhibition space within ICFF that showcases the best of North American design alongside works by emerging international artisans.

Coil + Drift celebrates its 10th anniversary with a curated showcase of its bestselling pieces. Don’t miss the bent-brass Ridge chandelier, the trumpet-like Foundry pendant and the swiveling Atlas 90 sconce. (Booth W1260)

Pennsylvania-based brand Unform Studio debuts Penna, its inaugural line of wood furniture, including a selection of leather-upholstered chairs with pillar-like legs. (Booth W857)

Cuff Studio presents Petal Promenade, a collection of neoclassical-inspired furnishings swathed in flowery Scalamandré fabrics, among them a barrel-back armchair and an undulating ottoman. (Booth W1048)

Denver-based Anduba unveils a special edition of the Lupita lounge chair, designed in collaboration with Brazilian company Sossego, and featuring an upholstery pattern by Guarani artist Miguela Moura. (Booth W9)

Brooklyn-based Studio Anna Dawson releases three dance-inspired lighting collections composed of kiln-formed glass: the rhythmic Ribbon, the sinuous Dancer and the sculptural Twirl. (Booth W1056)

Another Brooklyn studio, Marx Et Al, launches its debut collection, including six handmade patinated-brass pieces: a sconce, chandelier, pendant, coffee table, console and decorative panel. (Booth W647)

Oregon furniture studio Fernweh Woodworking reveals the Oxbend Windsor series, featuring a crest rail–clad counter stool and complementary bench crafted from steam-bent timber. (Booth W848)

Muhly Studio presents the Prairie pendant, a spangled galvanized steel number with a hand-punched perforated shade, designed in collaboration with Dallas-based architect Scott Parks Studio. (Booth 516)

Los Angeles–based Rad Furniture and designer Sam Klemick debut the Post collection, which reimagines the latter’s beloved wooden Bell chair as a powder-coated metal seating family. (Booth 624)

Hardware brand Dimwit premieres Anagrams, a series of ceramic-coated brass wall plates with colorful knobs, offering a design-savvy spin on traditional light switches and dimmers. (Booth 550)

California Design Living showcases a selection of handwoven wool rugs, including the egg-shaped Khaddar, the geometric Seamless and the two-tone Oulu. (Booth 531)

Canadian lighting brand Matthew McCormick launches Ova in Colour, a chromatic glass pendant in a range of vibrant hues, in an installation curated in collaboration with Lawson-Fenning. (Booth 533)

Thailand-based brand Pern Baan launches two collaborations, including a ceramic lighting collection by Christopher Merchant and a line of brass mirrors by Bowen Liu. (Booth 526)

Alkemis Paint teams up with Brooklyn-based architect and designer Ramona Albert on a curated display, featuring the latter’s wall-mounted brass lights and decorative objects, and walls painted in three of Alkemis’s wellness-minded hues. (Booth 518)

Wallpaper Projects unveils Elysian, its collaboration with Brooklyn- and Los Angeles–based artist Erin Lynn Welsh, featuring an assortment of immersive, landscape-driven wallcoverings based on her original paintings. (Booth 537)

The Lawns previews Primary Effect, its new highlighter-hued outdoor textile collection, in a polychromatic display inspired by color theory. (Booth 625)

Australian electrical hardware brand Zetr makes its stateside debut in an interactive exhibit designed in collaboration with Flack Studio, featuring lighting by Volker Haug alongside Zetr’s stylish power outlets. (Booth 517)

WHAT TO SEE AROUND TOWN

Carve out some time for The Future Perfect’s open house, where you’ll find the “Dudd Lite” exhibit, featuring avant-garde designs by Lindsey Adelman and Martino Gamper, as well as new works by Studio Athena Calderone, Jason Koharik, and De La Espada in collaboration with Zak+Fox. Sarah Sherman Samuel celebrates her first monograph with a solo exhibit, “Weight & Wonder,” at Colony, which highlights a series of monolithic side tables composed of heavily veined marbles. (196 W. Broadway)

Multidisciplinary design studio Atra debuts “Cosmo Nova,” a surrealistic multisensory installation featuring its celestial-themed collaboration with Métaphores. (43 Clarkson St.)

Camille Okhio transforms the Vitra showroom into “Eden,” a scenographic installation inspired by Verner Panton’s radical theories on color, form and spatial experience. (46 Bowery, 3rd Floor)

Apparatus premieres “Peepshow,” an interactive exhibition created in partnership with French heritage silversmithing house Puiforcat, showcasing the newly reissued Episode series. (124 W. 30th St., 4th Floor)

At Kartik Research, Soft-Geometry unveils two whimsical new lighting collections: the blossomy Flower sconces and the latest iteration of the San Francisco–based brand’s cascading Long Haired sconces. (61 Orchard St.)

Kvadrat unleashes a slew of fresh Raf Simons–designed fabrics and accessories in a colorful showroom installation inspired by the fashion designer’s latest runway looks. (475 Park Ave.)

In Brooklyn, Sixpenny opens the doors to its Dumbo loft to showcase the Wild Air collection—which draws inspiration from a bird’s-eye view of rural landscapes—alongside the brand’s first line of rugs. (45 Main St., Suite 1020)

Maharam presents “Objetos de Hojalata Para el Hogar,” a special exhibition by industrial design students from the Cranbrook Academy of Art—developed in partnership with the school’s artist-in-residence, Leon Ransmeier, and visiting artist Fabien Cappello—showcasing works made during a collaborative workshop in Guadalajara, Mexico, using traditional tin embossing techniques. At its Annex in Tribeca, Assembly Line introduces Amica, a collaborative collection of ceramic and paper lighting from Christopher Merchant and Aaron and Irisa Na-Chan Kawabi of Kawabi. (66 W.Broadway, Suite 402)

Inside its Greenwich Village apartment, London-based brand Pinch previews the First Light collection, a line of handmade lighting with gilded pure gold leaf surfaces and gently scalloped details. (13 W. 9th St., #2)

Nickey Kehoe previews upcoming additions to its wallpaper collection, including a microprint charmer named Pajama, alongside a selection of furniture pieces painted in Farrow & Ball’s signature hues. (49 E. 10th St.)

Mexican craft gallery K’ab Juun showcases “Proximity & Interaction,” a solo exhibition of new works by Mexico City–based designer and architect Simon Hamui, including a freestanding musical console and angular lounge chair crafted in collaboration with artist Edgar Orlaineta. Il Buco Vita reveals its collaboration with Leanne Ford, spanning 44 delightful tablewares and decor objects, such as a smoky wineglass, a twisted candle and a black-and-white splattered mixing bowl. (4 E. 2nd St., 1st Floor)

Beauregard, a new lacquered furniture collection by Pierre Yovanovitch that is on display at the brand’s New York gallery, includes nine glossy furniture and lighting pieces in shades such as black and navy blue. (555 W. 25th St.)
