You don’t have to count sheep to dream up your ideal rug! From September 4th to October 6th, we are calling on all interior designers to submit an original design for the chance to win a custom wool rug.
Jamie Stern is excited to announce the 5th edition of our ever-growing national Rug Design Contest. For four years running, our month-long competition has garnered more designer submissions than each previous year. With this annual increase in the number of designs also came a greater expansion of styles, inspirations and influences. We received incredible entries that featured ornate geometric tessellations, abstract figures, simple and elegant patterns, fierce animal prints, designs with personal meaning behind them and so much more. These designs were created in Photoshop, painted with watercolors, sketched with a pencil, done in charcoal, etc. However you choose to express your creativity is what we want to see!
For the 5th Annual Jamie Stern Rug Design Contest, a Grand Prize Winner from each of our four regions – Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West – will be selected by an all-new panel of esteemed judges from the interior design community. These Winners will have their designs brought to life as beautiful area rugs made of 100% New Zealand wool! Additionally, two runners-up from each region will be selected and receive a 3x5 mini-rug of their design.
