On May 15, in celebration of the enduring beauty of artisanship, John Rosselli & Associates and Business of Home hosted a conversation about textiles, heritage design, and the power of color during D&D Spring Market in New York.
Editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen moderated the discussion among four powerhouse creative and material designers from John Rosselli partner brands: Jamie Shawcross of Fermoie, Ben de Groot of Whistler Leather, Flora Soames of the eponymous textile line, and Kate Marr of Titley and Marr. These leading industry voices discussed how colors, textiles and traditions weave together to inspire and impact interior design.
Among the more than 75 guests in attendance were representatives from other John Rosselli partner brands, including Aux Abris, Ferran, Keith Fritz Fine Furniture, Iatesta Studio, Le Gracieux, O. Henry House, Peter Fasano and Radish Moon.
“As we close the chapter on Spring Market, we reflect on how essential our participation is during these events,” said Shelley Selip, showroom manager for John Rosselli in New York. “It affords us the opportunity to share our constantly evolving, curated products with exceptional interior designers. We were honored to host Kaitlin and BOH, and look forward with excitement to the upcoming collections from our artisan partners, which will be revealed at what promises to be another successful market in the fall.”
“There’s nothing more inspiring than a group of innovators like these four creatives,” said Petersen. “The way they described their varied approaches to color, pattern and texture offered a master class in ingenuity and craft. It was an absolute delight to help the audience discover the magic behind their work. That all of these great brands live at Rosselli makes perfect sense. I was honored to spotlight just how special they each are.”
