Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York
New York | September 15–October 13
Returning for its 51st edition, this annual showhouse brings together some of the country’s top interior designers. This year’s location is in Greenwich Village at 80 West Washington Place, where 22 firms—including Dunnam Zerbini Design, Eve Jean Interiors, Marmol Radziner and Peter Dunham Design & Associates—will each transform a room. Design West Hollywood
West Hollywood | September 29–October 1
Following the theme “Magical Thinking,” programming from the West Hollywood Design District’s second annual event explores how imagination shapes design. Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Serenbe Designer Showhouse
Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia | October 1–25
Benefiting Art Farm at Serenbe’s Decorative Arts Fellowship, the 13th annual showhouse returns, this time to a contemporary home by Phillip Clark Custom Builders featuring the work of more than 12 designers alongside a curated pop-up shop. For more information, click here.

Archtober
New York | October 1–31
The 16th annual monthlong citywide festival celebrates all things architecture in New York, with over 1,500 events—a mix of tours, lectures, workshops, panels and exhibits in partnership with museums, parks, advocacy groups and more. Design Week Mexico
Mexico City | October 5–11
Taking place in Mexico City, this annual design week boasts numerous events, panels and galleries showcasing what’s new in Mexican and international design. This year’s theme is “Perspectives from the Global South” and the event features numerous artists from Chile, the spotlighted guest country, including ceramist Catalina Zarhi and clay and blown-glass sculptor Raúl Hernández Tralma. Darien Design Social
Darien, Connecticut | October 6–7
Design Social is popping up in Darien, Connecticut, this month, connecting interior designers with the artisans and entrepreneurs behind boutique brands from around the country. At the Meadowlands at the DCA, representatives from dozens of bespoke textile, wallcovering, lighting and furniture companies will be on hand to mingle with guests, and visitors are invited to attend a talk with Peter Dunham, Tori Mellott, Benjamin Reynaert and Alexander Widener. New York Tabletop Show
New York | October 6–9

Desert Design Week
Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona | October 6–11
Desert Design Week returns for its third installment with a celebration of art, design and architecture that takes place in showrooms and studios across Phoenix and Scottsdale. Field + Supply Fall Mrkt
Kingston, New York | October 9–11
The biannual maker’s market, which celebrates its 12th anniversary this year, connects the design community with expert artisans for a shopping experience that showcases 275 vendors across apparel, home goods, furnishings, textiles, ceramics, lighting and art. Brands this year include Small Goods Design, Bow Glassworks and Parker Burkhart. The Hudson Valley event also features live music, demos, book signings and happy hours. Decorex

Architecture & Design Film Festival: NY
New York | October 12–17
The New York outpost of this festival (it also takes place in Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver and Mumbai) celebrates architecture and design through a selection of films, events and panels. This year’s films include Bauhaus Forever and How to Plant a Lake. For more information, click here.

PAD London
London | October 13–18
Founded in 2007, this sister event of Paris Art + Design, which takes place every year in Berkeley Square, is exclusively dedicated to 20th century and contemporary design and features dozens of galleries from around the world, like London-based Charles Burnand and Paris-based Dutko. Palm Springs Modernism Week
Palm Springs, California | October 15–18
Celebrating midcentury architecture and design in the desert resort city, this biannual four-day festival gives thousands of attendees an opportunity to attend 350 events. The fair’s fall installment features a double-decker-bus architecture tour, the signature Modernism show, and home tours in more than 30 neighborhoods, as well as film screenings, live music, fashion shows, and lectures that encourage architectural preservation and sustainable living. The San Francisco Fall Show
San Francisco | October 15–18
This annual Fort Mason event, established in 1982, is one of the longest-running art, antiques and design fairs on the West Coast. The show boasts dozens of dealers from around the world showcasing paintings, furniture, ceramics, jewelry and rugs. Following tradition, celebrated designers—Meg Braff, Christine and John Gachot, Elizabeth Lawrence, Scott J. Sottile, and Christopher Roy-—were invited to decorate the Grand Entry Hall in vignettes inspired by this year’s theme, “Métallique Chic!” For more information, click here.

Dwell Open House: Los Angeles

This event gives attendees a chance to step inside three striking Los Angeles homes featured in Dwell—and BOH Insiders receive a discount.
