Project & Client Services Manager
Company: Dunham Robinson
Duration: Full-time
Date Posted: 10/03/26
Category: Interior Design
Location: New York
Salary: 100-150k
Job Description

Dunham Robinson is a growing architecture and interior design studio in New York City creating thoughtful, inventive residential spaces that make everyday life more vivid. We’re ambitious about our work, collaborative and down-to-earth with each other, and genuinely excited about what we’re building.
We’re looking for a Project & Client Services Manager to become a central part of our team.
This is a client-facing role for an exceptional communicator who is highly organized, proactive, and great at keeping track of a lot of moving pieces. Working directly with the partners, you’ll be the connective tissue between our clients, collaborators, and internal design team - keeping communication clear, projects organized, and everyone a few steps ahead.
What you’ll do:
Build strong client relationships and lead day-to-day project communication
Schedule and attend meetings and construction site visits
Turn meetings into clear decisions, action items, and follow-ups
Manage project schedules, milestones, and checklists
Keep clients and teams ahead of deadlines, decisions, and priorities
Monitor contracts, fees, and additional services
Flag shifts in scope, schedule, or client expectations
Help plan staffing and improve internal project systems
This is not a design or architectural production role. We’re looking for someone who loves people, communicates clearly and warmly, brings order to complicated situations, and naturally thinks about what needs to happen next.
Experience in architecture, interiors, construction, or another creative industry is preferred but not required.
You’ll have a key seat at the table as our studio grows - and help us build not just great projects, but a great practice.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in project management, client services, account management, or a similar client-facing role
- Experience tracking project fees, contracts, scopes, or budgets
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and an excellent memory
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities at the same time
- Proactive by nature - you notice what needs to happen next and follow through without needing to be reminded
- Confident and polished communicating directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and other professionals
- Strong judgment and the ability to recognize when an issue needs to be escalated
- Able to turn meetings and conversations into clear decisions, action items, and next steps
- Comfortable working independently while staying closely connected to a collaborative team
- Comfortable visiting active construction sites throughout New York City
- Proficiency with standard project management, scheduling, and office software, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
- Based in or able to commute daily to New York City
Nice to have
- Experience in architecture, interior design, construction, real estate, advertising, branding, or another project-based creative industry
- Experience managing high-touch client relationships
- Familiarity with architectural or interior design terminology and project phases
- Experience working in a small, fast-moving studio or agency environment
Architecture and/or interior design experience is a plus, but it isn't required. We're more interested in finding someone with excellent client instincts, strong organizational skills, and the ability to keep a lot of moving pieces going in the same direction.

About our Company

Dunham Robinson is a full-service architecture and interior design studio based in New York City. Founded by an architect and an engineer, our work is shaped by the combination of imagination and technical know-how - an approach that allows us to be inventive while staying grounded in how things are built and how people actually live.
Our studio works across architecture, interiors, furniture, and custom fabrication, with a particular interest in thoughtful details, unexpected materials, and finding clarity within complex design problems. We believe good design requires knowing when to invent, when to simplify, and when to draw on experience to do both at once.
We’re a collaborative, hands-on team that cares deeply about the work without taking ourselves too seriously. As a growing studio, we’re continually refining how we work, expanding what we can do, and looking for smart, curious people who want to help shape what Dunham Robinson becomes next.
