* Minimum 3 years of experience in buying, sourcing, purchasing, production, product development, supply chain or a related role.
* Experience working directly with manufacturers, suppliers, factories and logistics partners.
* Background in physical products, preferably within luxury goods, furniture, interiors, textiles, rugs, home décor, hospitality FF&E or premium consumer goods.
* Strong understanding of sourcing, purchasing and production processes from initial requirement through final delivery.
* Proven ability to negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, lead times and supplier conditions.
* Ability to understand design briefs, drawings, specifications, materials, samples and finishes and translate them into sourcing and production solutions.
* Experience managing multiple suppliers, products, orders and production schedules simultaneously.
* Good understanding of international freight, customs, duties, taxes and import/export procedures.
* Experience using an ERP system for purchasing, production, supplier and inventory management.
* Strong numerical and commercial skills, including product costing, landed costs and supplier payment planning.
* Understanding of the cash-flow impact of purchasing and production decisions.
* Experience with SKUs, product nomenclature and Bills of Materials is a plus.
* Excellent organizational and deadline-management skills.
