POSITION SUMMARY:

Greet and assist clients with focused attention to creating an A+ hospitality experience that is consistent with the Nickey Kehoe mission.
Encourage client engagement with merchandise while providing outstanding customer service. Always share the stories of our makers and artists and our NK Collection point of view with clients and swiftly reply to client inquiries over email. You will facilitate sales by using our POS system and assist with order processing and tracking as needed. Be of service, be nimble, flexible, courteous and conscientious in your work and able to transition easily from one task to another. Act as a liaison across shop floors, stock rooms, executive offices and deliveries.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

- Greet and graciously assist clients with focused attention to creating a high-end customer experience sharing the stories of our makers and artists. Service-oriented, adaptable, courteous, and conscientious in their work, it’s an associate’s role to provide a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers.
- Facilitate sales using our point-of-sale system, Shopify
- Perform opening and closing duties - e.g. light vacuuming, dusting, windexing, taking out trash
- Assist the Receiving Manager with pulling online orders from the sales floor and receiving new merchandise
- Answer customer inquiries via telephone
- Support client pickups and holds
- Assist in the upkeep of the visual experience and merchandising in the NK Shop, ensuring fresh, tidy, organized, and photo-ready displays and vignettes by restocking and straightening.
- Ensure products leaving the store are safely packaged and gift wrapped, when applicable
- Other projects and tasks as assigned to meet the needs of the business.

- Previous sales experience, preferably in a high-end retail environment
- High-end customer service and the ability to remain graceful under pressure
- Positive and team-oriented attitude
- Familiarity with POS and inventory tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Aptitude for multitasking
- Ability to retain and communicate product knowledge
- MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS
