RH, designer Katie Leede and more opening stores this season

We could all use a little good news right now, and these new openings deliver just that. Discover the new showrooms, shops and galleries that have recently swung open their doors across the country, a sunny sign during a challenging time. Read on for Business of Home’s summer roundup of openings to have on your radar.

CALIFORNIA
RH has opened a new location in Corte Madera, California. Totaling nearly 60,000 square feet, RH Marin, The Gallery at the Village spans three levels that include home installations, the company’s proprietary interior design firm and atelier, a wine bar and a rooftop restaurant.

British electrical accessory and light switch manufacturer Forbes & Lomax has opened its second U.S. location in Los Angeles’s La Cienega Design Quarter. The 500-square-foot showroom offers the brand’s full collection of decorative light switches.

Spain-based international architecture and surfacing manufacturer Cosentino has opened a new location just north of San Francisco. The sprawling 157,350 square feet of warehouse and office space will complement the company’s Houston and Virginia hubs as a central shipping location for customers in the western U.S.

Van Nuys Awning Co. has moved to a new location—after 102 years in its 18,000-square-foot warehouse in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Van Nuys, the company has moved its headquarters 30 miles west to the town of Thousand Oaks.

EAST COAST
Luxury bath and kitchen outfitter Waterworks has announced the expansion and reopening of its 58th Street flagship showroom in New York. Opening this September, the 12,500-square-foot space features an additional floor where the brand’s surfaces are displayed by color. The company has also dedicated large tables and flexible workstations for designers and their clients.

In late June, Eleish Van Breems Home opened its doors at 14 Easy Street in Nantucket, introducing its Scandinavian home furnishings, antiques and artisan-crafted goods to the coastal Massachusetts design community.

Designer Katie Leede announced on Instagram that she has opened a shop in Sag Harbor, New York, where she showcases a carefully curated selection of furniture, lighting and home accessories.

Sferra, the Italian luxury soft goods destination, has opened its first stateside pop-up boutique in Southampton, New York. The 2,000-square-foot boutique is offering curbside pickup and same-day delivery on phone purchases, as well as private by-appointment shipping and video consultations. Sferra is also carrying products from Brahms Mount, the Maine-based brand known for its premium soft goods.

New York–based designer Beverly Bartfeld has brought Indy Home Montauk back to its Elmwood Avenue location for a second summer season. The store offers a sophisticated beach-living design collection, from soft goods and decor to a contemporary furniture selection.

MIDWEST
Global interior design company and home furnishings brand Ethan Allen has opened a new design center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The center showcases the latest in Ethan Allen furnishings, as well as cutting-edge technological design capabilities, complete with on-site interactive touch screens and 3D rendering services.

Indianapolis-based furnishings manufacturer Pair’d Furnishings has opened a new showroom on the first floor of the Indiana Design Center in nearby Carmel, bringing its wide selection of custom offerings to the local design community.

Also in the Indiana Design Center, Cori and Scott Brown will open a new showroom called Glass House Gallery in September. The first-floor space will unite their two brands, Franklin Window and Door and Lorenzo Finestre, offering product lines carried by both.

pacific NORTHWEST
Portland, Oregon–based Rodda Paint Company, the largest paint manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest, has opened a new location in Renton, Washington. The store brings the company’s total number of retail locations to 60, marking a milestone as it continues in expansion in the region.

SOUTHWEST
In April, interior design studio Perkins+Will united its two Austin, Texas, locations—now, the firm is located in a custom-designed workplace at the Foundry in the heart of East Austin.

INTERNATIONAL
The global expansion of Italian luxury furniture brand Henge continues with the opening of its first showroom in Johannesburg in collaboration with furniture showroom Il Lusso. Additionally, Henge has opened a new space in Munich at the furniture showroom Egetemeier Wohnkultur.
