The Senior Designer is a full-time, in-office role in Los Angeles. In this position, the Senior Designer works closely with the principals to develop and execute design concepts across multiple high-end residential projects, taking ownership of key aspects of the design process from concept through installation.
Day-to-day responsibilities may include developing presentations, sourcing furniture, materials, and finishes, space planning, and producing and reviewing detailed drawings and documentation. The Senior Designer will manage project details and timelines, coordinate directly with architects, contractors, fabricators, and vendors, respond to RFIs, and help ensure that design intent is carried through accurately during construction and installation.
The role also includes overseeing project organization and internal tracking, preparing budgets and proposals, reviewing vendor quotes and specifications, and participating in client presentations and design reviews. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, confident managing multiple projects and deadlines, and comfortable taking ownership of their work while collaborating closely with the principals and broader design team.
5+ years of professional interior design experience within a high-end residential design firm.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage significant portions of a project from design development through installation while working closely with the principals on overall creative direction.
Proficiency with industry-standard design and documentation tools, including Studio Designer, AutoCAD, Excel, and Adobe InDesign.
Strong technical drawing skills and the ability to produce and review furniture plans, elevations, custom furniture and millwork drawings, and other project documentation.
Experience coordinating directly with architects, general contractors, subcontractors, fabricators, and vendors, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
Strong visual communication skills, with the ability to develop polished client presentations, material and finish schemes, and cohesive design concepts.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects simultaneously, anticipate next steps, and meet deadlines with limited oversight.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and consistency across drawings, specifications, budgets, presentations, and project documentation.
Willingness to travel to project sites and for sourcing or installations as needed.
