Neal Beckstedt Studio, a boutique architecture and interior design firm located in Manhattan, seeks experienced Interior Designer with minimum 6+ years of full-time professional high-end residential experience.
The role is for managing several projects from beginning to end and thus experienced in all aspects of the design process. The candidate must have a strong background with interior architecture to lead projects in the studio where both interiors and architectural work is intertwined.
The candidate should be extremely organized, possess strong communication skills, and have excellent leadership skills that are team players who know how to get projects to the finish line.
This role is suited for designers with 6+ years of experience.
Candidate has to be able to be creative and business savvy. Applicants should be able to work proficiently, delegate to team(s), and be creative problem solvers in running several projects.
- Establish & meet deadlines, manage junior designers/interns, and set client and principal expectations
- Refined aesthetic and understanding/knowledge of leading high-end furniture & fabric dealers and market
Job requirements:
- Ability to work independently & proactively with teams
- Review, select, specify and propose furniture, window covering, fabric/trim, wall covering, ceiling treatment, floor covering, lighting, hardware & accessories
- Excellent communication skills to liaison between principal, clients, vendors, contractors & employees
- Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent drawing skills with equally great coordination on custom bespoke furniture
- Full knowledge & experience of Studio IT/Studio Designer to create furniture proposals, PO's, invoices, etc
- Great organization skills to oversee, track, and install furnishings for several projects on multiple deadlines
- Ability to manage workflow & task effectively
