Kristin Kavanagh Interiors is a full-service luxury residential design studio on Chicago's North Shore, working on renovations, new construction, and full furnishing projects. Our work is classic, comfortable, and built to last, designed around how families actually live.

We're seeking an Interior Designer and Project Manager to own projects from concept through installation. Reporting directly to the Principal, you'll translate creative direction into fully resolved, execution-ready design packages, and you'll run the day to day so projects move. This is a lead role, not a support one. I'm looking for someone who brings their own point of view and tells me when they disagree.

Managing multiple residential projects from concept development through final installation. Producing floor plans, elevations, and detail drawings in-house. Specifying finishes, plumbing, lighting, hardware, furnishings, and window treatments. Reading and reviewing architectural plans, elevations, and cabinetry drawings, and coordinating with architects, builders, and trades. Leading site meetings across the North Shore. Serving as a day-to-day point of contact for clients. And partnering with our procurement and studio team so design, ordering, and client experience stay connected.

Five+ years in high-end residential design. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Chief Architect with strong drafting and documentation skills. Deep understanding of residential construction methods, millwork, and detailing. Experience with Studio Designer or comparable. Ability to manage multiple projects at once. Local to the Chicago North Shore - this role is hybrid but will require on site and in the field.
