Carrier and Company Interiors seeks a detail oriented and highly technically skilled Senior Designer.
Candidate will have a Bachelors or Master’s degree from a competitive interior design program and have at least 7 years of full-time, professional experience in high-end residential design.
Daily tasks to include:
*Assisting Principals with project programming
*Design and planning
*Project Budgeting
*Project Presentations
*Construction Administration
*Scheduling
*Reporting Project Status and follow up—ensuring the quality and accuracy of each project.
Must effectively communicate intent, plans, status, issues, alternatives, solutions and conflict resolutions - all while managing multiple projects.
The Candidate must display the following:
*Extensive knowledge of the NYC furnishings and trade market
*High end construction job-site experience for both new construction and renovations
*Skilled with a high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
*Skilled with a high level of proficiency in 2D drawing - sketching and AutoCAD
*Well Versed Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills required
*Fluent in the English language
*Candidates need a current driver's license with flexibility to travel to sites in the NY metro region including CT, Westchester, Long Island and New Jersey, as well as NYC.
*While the position may be partially remote at this time candidate must be able to easily commute to NYC studio
*Professional appearance, punctuality, discretion
