Design Director Krista + Home, a Vesta Company
We are seeking an accomplished, highly organized Design Director to lead our growing interior design division and oversee all client work across four design teams. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines exceptional design talent with strong commercial instincts, emotional intelligence, and the ability to deliver an outstanding client experience. Salary and bonus commensurate with senior-level design management experience.
The Design Director will be responsible for the quality, profitability, and timely execution of every design project. This individual will supervise and mentor our designers, manage team workloads and deadlines, lead important client presentations, and step into projects directly when additional design or AutoCAD support is required.
A major focus of this position is revenue growth. The Design Director will identify opportunities to expand project scope, increase furniture and product sales, and introduce clients to additional services that enhance both their homes and their overall experience. The ideal candidate understands how to sell through thoughtful design recommendations—building trust and excitement rather than applying pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all design clients, projects, and deliverables across four interior design teams.
Maintain consistently high standards for creativity, presentation, accuracy, service, and execution.
Supervise, mentor, and motivate designers while supporting their organization, emotional resilience, time management, and professional development.
Assign projects and balance workloads based on each designer’s capabilities and availability.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, deadlines, product selections, and client commitments.
Build strong, lasting client relationships and serve as the senior point of contact for important or complex matters.
Address dissatisfied clients calmly and professionally, resolve concerns, and restore confidence
Ideally 10+ years experience as a senior interior designer serving high-end luxury homes.
