J Cohler Mason Design, a high-end residential interior design firm in NYC, is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Interior Designer with 2–4 years of experience and strong project management skills. Candidates must have a solid grounding in residential interior design.

Responsibilities

Manage and execute client presentations throughout all phases of design
Source and select decorative items, design concept, space planning, architectural elements, color and fabric schemes, custom window treatments, and custom furniture
Source and select construction items, stone/tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, etc.
Communicate and collaborate with clients, vendors, general contractors, and subcontractors
Prepare hardware, plumbing, paint, lighting, and other required schedules
Manage drafting for manufacturing and installation of furniture, window treatments, lighting, and accessories
Manage and prepare decorative/project budgets
Manage client proposals, purchasing of decorative items, and deliveries, including shipping from sourcing through final installation
Handle day-to-day project upkeep: budgets, binders, invoices, proposals, billing, ordering, and tracking
Ensure the quality and accuracy of each project
Maintain constant communication with the team to ensure that the design is developed according to the creative vision of the principal and the studio
Ideal Candidate

2–4 years of experience as an Interior Designer at a high-end residential firm, with hands-on project management responsibility
Able to manage multiple high-end residential projects from concept through installation
Working knowledge of construction documents
Able to complete projects on budget and on deadline
Thrives in a fast-paced environment; works well independently and on a team
Highly detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
Degree in Interior Design from a four-year accredited program
Legal US citizen
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience
