Join our small team in Brooklyn! Looking for an experienced designer who loves to collaborate and think big. We need a designer to support the principal and another lead designer/project manager on multiple projects at once. Within six months after hire, our goal would be for this candidate to independently take clients from schematic phase to final install as lead. As a small firm we all wear multiple hats and are seeking someone who is comfortable with that.
Tasks include:
-Create floor plans, elevations, custom furnishings
-Source and create client presentations
-Meet with clients on-site, lead communications afterward
-Create item proposals and client billing packages
-Maintenance of project budget and schedules
-Manage vendor relationships
-Managing parts of marketing and develop marketing strategies
-5+ years in a residential design firm
-High level of CAD fluency required – floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, custom furniture
-Experience in historic homes
-Experience sourcing and specifying
-Strong organizational skills
-Strong communication and presentation skills
-Strong space planning skills
-Must be a team player
