Job Description

Chapin Furniture is looking for a creative, enthusiastic leader to manage our Interior Design and Sales Team. Our home base is our 30,000 square foot retail showroom located in Chapin, SC, near Lake Murray, just outside the state capital of Columbia. Founded in 2002, we have established ourselves as one of the premier providers of interior design and home furnishings in our region. Chapin was recently ranked as one of the top ten lake communities in the Southeastern United States by Southern Living, and is a major destination for relocation, providing many opportunities for design and home furnishings service.

We are a family owned business specializing in home furnishings, mattresses, rugs, home decor, and interior design services. A good understanding of these elements, as well as the skills to lead and encourage our team to provide our customers these services with excellence is needed. Training and/or previous management experience in our industry required.

Our core values:

1. Integrity- Being honest, trustworthy and credible
2. Creativity- Inspiring others through updated and changing décor and ideas. We celebrate classic style, but don’t settle for what always has been. We want to be relevant, here and now.
3. Service- Using our gifts to serve others. Serve others as we would want to be served (the Golden Rule).
4. Growth- Like a tree, if we are not growing, we are dying. Individual. Business. Team. We make efforts to water and feed the tree. Learn and Grow.
5. Ownership- Responsibility, accountability, empowerment, pride. We don’t own the customer. We DO OWN up to our mistakes, and attempt to make things right when they go wrong. There is pride in doing the right thing.

About our Company

Chapin Furniture was established in 2002 in the small town of Chapin, just outside of the capital city of Columbia, South Carolina. Our approach to business? Same as our approach to life... “Treat others as you yourself would like to be treated.” We highly value our faith, our community, our environment, our family, and our relationships.

Chapin is not a secret anymore. We’ve known for a long time what people all over the world are figuring out nowadays… this is a great place to call home! And whether our clients are shopping with us locally, or we are helping them furnish their living spaces on the other side of the country, our motto is the same for the locals as it is for those who want that loving, local feeling… “Let’s make it home."

We’ve carefully chosen great products, that we love and have experienced ourselves. Not everything makes the cut. We take a collaborative, “hands on,” approach to customer service. Our goal is to make this furniture and design easy, and provide the guidance needed to make the best decisions for the home. We strive to provide careful attention and care to our customers. We love what we do, and love helping our clients along the way. Welcome to Chapin Furniture… “Let’s make it home!"
