Position Summary:
The Lead Interior Designer is responsible for independently leading luxury residential projects from concept through completion while consistently executing the firm's elevated aesthetic and delivering an exceptional client experience. This role requires a creative leader with exceptional taste, strong technical expertise, outstanding communication skills, and the confidence to lead projects with minimal oversight while mentoring our Junior Designer.
What You'll Do:
Lead the creative vision for assigned luxury residential projects.
Develop sophisticated design concepts and curate all finish and furnishing selections.
Lead client presentations and build trusted client relationships.
Manage projects from concept through installation, including budgets, schedules, and coordination with architects, builders, vendors, and consultants.

Exceptional design eye with expertise in finish and furnishing selections.
Advanced AutoCAD proficiency and experience reviewing construction documentation.
Hands-on experience with Studio Designer (or similar interior design project management software), including product specification entry, proposal preparation, and project documentation.
Strong understanding of residential construction, cabinetry, millwork, lighting, and detailing.
Experience collaborating with architects, builders, and trade partners.
Experience mentoring or leading junior designers preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
Portfolio demonstrating high-end residential work is required.
The Ideal Candidate:
You have impeccable taste, thrive on ownership and accountability, and naturally build trust with clients and colleagues. You are equally comfortable reviewing construction drawings with a builder, presenting a complete design concept to a client, and coaching a junior designer. Most importantly, you're looking for more than your next job—you want to become a trusted extension of the Principal Designer and help shape the future of a growing luxury design firm.
At Dominique DeLaney Interior Design, we believe exceptional homes begin with exceptional relationships. For over 15 years, we've partnered with discerning clients to create thoughtfully designed, timeless homes that are as functional as they are beautiful. Every project is deeply personal, and every detail matters.
