Job Description

J2 Interiors is a Los Angeles–based residential interior design firm seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Procurement Manager / Office Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, an excellent communicator, and excited to play an integral role in both the day-to-day operations of a design studio and the execution of our residential projects.
Working closely with the principals and design team, this person will oversee purchasing and procurement while helping keep the office organized, efficient, and running smoothly.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing
• Manage purchasing and procurement of furniture, lighting, fabrics, accessories, and other project-related items
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and coordinate payments and deposits
• Communicate with vendors, showrooms, workrooms, fabricators, and other trade partners
• Follow up on orders and proactively manage lead times, production schedules, and shipping updates
• Maintain detailed order tracking and procurement schedules across multiple projects
• Coordinate freight, receiving, storage, deliveries, and installations
• Track backorders, damages, replacements, returns, and claims through resolution

Office Coordination & Principal Support
• Assist the principals with scheduling, calendar coordination, and meeting logistics
• Help coordinate client meetings, vendor appointments, site visits, and team meetings
• Manage general office organization and day-to-day studio needs
• Order and maintain office and design supplies
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing packages, samples, and deliveries
• Maintain organization of the materials library, samples, and vendor resources
• Support onboarding and administrative needs for new team members

Qualifications:
We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing many moving pieces at once and takes ownership of following tasks through to completion. Experience in interior design and luxury residential design is required. Familiarity with the interior design procurement process and working with trade vendors is also required. Knowledge of Studio Designer is a plus.
