Job Description

• Develop architectural concepts for high-end residential projects, including ground-up homes and major renovations
• Participate in all phases of a project from concept and schematic design through design development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, architectural details, and comprehensive construction drawing sets
• Explore architectural massing, spatial relationships, circulation, proportion, natural light, and indoor/outdoor connections
• Translate the Principal's creative vision into thoughtful, technically resolved architectural solutions
• Develop design options and presentations for review with the Principal and clients
• Coordinate architectural design with the firm's interior design team to create a cohesive vision throughout each residence
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, and other consultants
• Work closely with general contractors, fabricators, artisans, and specialty trades
• Review consultant drawings, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and construction details
• Participate in client meetings, consultant meetings, and project presentations
• Conduct site visits throughout construction to ensure execution is consistent with the design intent
• Assist in resolving architectural and construction issues in the field
• Research and develop architectural materials, finishes, building systems, and innovative construction solutions
• Maintain a strong understanding of applicable Florida Building Code, zoning requirements, permitting, and construction standards
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of design and technical quality

Job Requirements

Qualifications
• 5–7 years of professional experience in residential architecture
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
• Demonstrated experience with high-end custom residential architecture, including ground-up construction
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both architectural design ability and technical execution
• Experience taking residential projects from concept through construction
• Excellent understanding of residential construction, detailing, materials, and building systems
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Proficiency in SketchUp and/or other 3D modeling and visualization software
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of Florida and New York construction practices, zoning, permitting, and building codes strongly preferred
• Experience coordinating structural, MEP, landscape, lighting, and other consultants
• Strong understanding of custom millwork, architectural detailing, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, and specialty architectural elements
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced creative environment
• Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working closely with the Principal and interior design team
