ABOUT THE ROLE
Lawson Fenning is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented assistant buyer to support the daily execution of our purchasing and merchandising operations.

This is a highly administrative, operations-focused role centered on purchase order management, product data entry, vendor communication, and production tracking. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of information with accuracy. Working closely with Merchandising, Production, Sales, Accounting, Operations, and vendor partners, you’ll help ensure products are ordered correctly, tracked efficiently, and delivered on time.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Create and manage purchase orders for Lawson Fenning floor inventory, showroom
replenishment, and special projects as needed.
• Create and manage purchase orders for third-party vendor collections, including showroom inventory and customer orders.
• Maintain accurate product information, pricing, and purchasing records across multiple business systems.
• Track orders from placement through delivery, following up with domestic and international vendors on production schedules and lead times.
• Review vendor invoices, reconcile pricing and freight costs, and coordinate payment approvals.
• Create and maintain product listings, specifications, pricing, photography, and merchandising information.
• Coordinate fabric orders and support restoration projects for Lawson Fenning’s vintage
collection.
• Partner with Merchandising, Production, Sales, Accounting, Operations, and
• E-Commerce to ensure projects stay on schedule and information remains accurate.
• Support inventory, product launches, showroom initiatives, and other merchandising projects as needed.

Job Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
2+ years of experience in purchasing, buying support, operations, inventory management, supply chain, or a related role.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus (Cin7, Airtable, QuickBooks, Bill.com, or similar).
• Experience in furniture, manufacturing, interior design, or made-to-order products is preferred.
