Studio Coordinator
A high-end residential interior design firm based in New York City is seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Studio Coordinator to join our team.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in our New York City studio. The Studio Coordinator will report directly to the Business Manager and work closely with our Senior Project Manager and Senior Designers. The position will serve as an on-site point person for logistics and installations while also supporting the firm’s marketing initiatives, design team, and day-to-day studio operations.
We are seeking someone who is highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Installations:
Support the Senior Project Manager with project logistics, including order tracking, delivery coordination, vendor follow-up, and installation planning. Independently coordinate smaller deliveries and installations from preparation through completion and assist with larger installations as needed. Coordinate with vendors, workrooms, warehouses, movers, and installers and help resolve delays, damages, returns, repairs, and other delivery issues. Attend deliveries and installations as needed and ensure they are organized and executed according to the firm’s standards.
Marketing & Communications:
Support the firm’s marketing initiatives, including website updates, press outreach, social media, and maintenance of photography and marketing assets. Coordinate project photoshoots, including scheduling and logistics with photographers, stylists, vendors, and the design team. Create and coordinate social media content, including photography, video, written copy, project updates, press coverage, and behind-the-scenes content. Liaise with publications, media contacts, and outside marketing partners while helping maintain a consistent brand presence across all platforms.
Design Team & Studio Support:
Maintain and organize the studio sample library, including receiving, cataloging, and returning materials. Assist designers with presentation preparation, samples, materials, vendor coordination, and other project needs. Coordinate vendor and showroom representative visits with the design team. Coordinate project-related pickups and deliveries and provide general studio, administrative, and operational support as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of professional, post-graduate work experience required.
Experience in interior design, architecture, furniture, logistics, project coordination, marketing, or another creative field strongly preferred.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Professional demeanor and comfort communicating with clients, vendors, media contacts, and other industry partners.
Strong interest in interior design, marketing, and social media, with an eye for creating engaging visual and written content.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; Studio Designer, social media, and website content management experience are a plus.
Willingness to be hands-on and travel locally to project sites, warehouses, showrooms, installations, and photoshoots as required.
Must be available to work full-time, in person from our New York City studio.
