Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated interior designer to join our team. We are excited to find someone who is equally passionate about design, as they are about client satisfaction and project management. We need someone who has impeccable communication skills, is excellent at managing client expectations and a great eye for design. This is a full-time position with a few days a week in the office each month, and the majority of the time working remotely.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Manage all aspects associated with luxury renovation projects, from initiation to completion, including: creating comprehensive bid sets, managing the project timeline/schedule, coordinating and scheduling trades, managing the project budget, performing routine site visits for projects under construction (weekly or bi-weekly), and communicating as needed with the principal, design team, client and other trades
-Manage client communication for multiple projects at once. This includes sending weekly project email updates to each client
-Lead and manage junior and project designers; assign tasks, track progress and oversee work flow. Lead weekly or bi-weekly team meetings to review progress
-Work seamlessly with the Principal to manage, assign tasks, review, and motivate junior team members and staff. Participate in weekly meetings to touch base on status of projects and team
-Coordinate and oversee the contractor, and subcontractors, to provide quality control and encourage projects to be completed on time and within budget
-Lead the selection of materials, furniture, decor and lighting
-Develop client presentations
-Ability to create design renderings
-Create detailed FF&E specifications, including lighting, paint and door schedules
-Create and redline design drawings used to guide construction, including floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans and detail drawings
-Review and approve shop drawings for custom millwork, furniture and cabinetry fabrication
-Work seamlessly with our Procurement team to facilitate the purchasing of approved merchandise

QUALIFICATIONS
Outstanding communication, client service and organization skills.
3+ years experience in luxury residential design
Based in the greater Washington, DC area and have your own transportation
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Google drive (sheets, slides)
Excellent project management skills and a keen eye for detail.
Strong leadership skills, can-do attitude
