We are seeking an Interior Designer / Project Manager to lead high-end residential projects from concept through installation. This role is ideal for someone who can seamlessly balance the creative and operational sides of the work, bringing a strong design perspective while staying on top of timelines, communication, and execution.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with the design team to bring design concepts to life from initial vision through installation, while ensuring seamless coordination across all project phases. This position serves as the central hub of project execution and design development, ensuring all work is aligned, fully resolved, and on track before reaching leadership for review.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact, managing communication, expectations, and updates
Create and manage project timelines, schedules, and deliverables
Lead project execution from design development through installation
Ensure all selections, specifications, and drawings are complete, accurate, and aligned before presentation
Act as the main point of coordination between internal team members, vendors, and contractors
Review team output, answer questions, and course-correct as needed
Oversee procurement processes, including quote requests, order tracking, and issue resolution
Ensure projects are progressing efficiently and nothing falls through the cracks
Design & Technical Responsibilities:
Contribute to design development, including assisting with material selection and project management
Support projects through all design phases, from concept and schematic design through installation
Create floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, and scaled drawings aligned with architectural plans
Assist with vendor coordination, site visits, and installation support
Maintain organized and accurate design documentation, including FF&E schedules and specifications
Qualifications:
5–8+ years of experience in residential interior design, with strong project management experience
Prior experience working within an interior design firm required
Strong understanding of the full design process from concept through installation
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently and proactively drive projects forward
Software & Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD required
Experience with Google Drive and Google Sheets
Experience with Houzz Pro (or similar)
Rendering experience is a plus
