AMI Design is a luxury interior design studio based in the heart of Huntington Village, NY, where exceptional design meets meticulous execution. We create custom residential interiors for discerning clients across NYC, Long Island's North Shore, and the Hamptons—homes where every detail matters and no two projects are ever the same.
We are seeking an Interior Design Intern to join our team part-time at our Huntington, NY studio. This is an in-office, hands-on role where you'll develop your Interior Design skills while contributing to luxury residential projects from concept through installation.
Responsibilities in this role include:
- Maintain/Organize the Library
- Communicate with vendors for samples, quotes, lead times, deliveries, etc.
- Visit Vendors for pickup/return of samples
- Setup/maintain conference before/after client meetings
- Setup/maintain organized project binders and files
- Assist in site visits for field measuring, installations, photo shoots, etc.
- Communicate with clients for scheduling deliveries, measuring, follow-ups
Ideal candidate for the position should have an interest in pursuing a career in Interior Design. Experience in the Interior Design industry is preferred.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with our design team, clients, vendors, and contractors.
Prior internship or experience in interior design is preferred.
Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
Interior design: 1 year (Preferred)
AutoCAD (a PLUS)
Language: English (Required)
