Job Description

Join our team as an Interior Design Assistant focused on furniture and materials sourcing. Gain hands-on experience with top-tier showrooms, collaborate directly with the lead designer, and grow in the field.

Responsibilities:
Morning Routine: Organize fabric and finish samples at our Design Library in Dumbo.
Sourcing & Showroom Visits: Visit job sites, the D&D Building, and showrooms to source materials, providing live updates via FaceTime or photos.
Collaboration: Meet with the lead designer in Lower Manhattan for reviews and return rejected samples.

Requirements:
Passion for interior design and materials sourcing
Highly organized with strong communication skills
Ability to work independently while staying in sync with the lead designer

Scenario:
You are sourcing for a dream client—a family of four (two parents, two kids, and a dog) in Tribeca, NYC. The design is open-concept with a flexible budget and no strict style constraints. You are responsible for curating selections for the living/dining area. Below is the list of items you are asked to source.

Dining Zone:
•⁠ ⁠Dining table (seats 6)
•⁠ ⁠Dining chairs
•⁠ ⁠Counter stools for kitchen island

Living Zone:
•⁠ ⁠Modular sofa
•⁠ ⁠Accent chair where you will see the back of the chair
•⁠ ⁠Coffee table

Lighting:
•⁠ ⁠Ceiling fixture (max 16”H / min 36”W)
•⁠ ⁠Wall sconces (max 4”D)
•⁠ ⁠Linear light fixture for over kitchen island
