Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Interior Architect Project Manager with strong technical expertise and architectural experience to join our team. This role focuses on the execution and delivery of high-end residential projects, with an emphasis on documentation, coordination, and construction-phase management ensuring design intent through close collaboration with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal teams. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining project schedules, resolving technical challenges, and upholding design integrity throughout construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Lead the day-to-day management of projects from design development through construction and installation including production, organization, coordination, and oversight.
• Production - Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with key milestones and deliverables
• COORDINATION –
o Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication across internal teams and external partners, especially architects, contractors, and subs.
o Lead coordination meetings and ensure clear communication of design and technical requirements.
o Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, and change orders.
o Provide clear direction and follow-up documentation to contractors and consultants.
• OVERSIGHT –
o Review of comprehensive drawing sets [i.e. plans, elevations, details, consultant drawings, etc.] for accuracy, and alignment with schedule, design intent and PWID standards
o Review architectural plans and identify discrepancies, constructability concerns, and impacts on interior scope.
o Oversee and coordinate detailed millwork drawings, custom elements, and shop drawings.
o Maintain rigorous document control and version tracking across all project phases.
o Track project progress and proactively identify risks, delays, or concerns
o Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to design intent

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS :
• 5+ years of experience in interior architecture, architecture, and/or high-end residential project management.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating construction documentation and built project experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture,or related field preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD required
• Deep understanding of construction documentation and detailing
• Proven experience coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and construction sequencing.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort navigating complex technical challenges.
• Clear and effective communication skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to travel as needed
• Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset

The position is in-office in the Presidio in San Francisco, though our projects are nationwide. Regular travel will be required.
