The Design Assistant at PWID is a team player who can multitask, prioritize, and manage deadlines. Strong organizational skills are a necessity. You will work with project leaders on various projects . You will have the opportunity to participate in many facets of design and administration. You must be an independent problem solver with a sense of humor and a desire to learn. The Design Assistant must be knowledgeable of the interior design world, detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, self-motivated, and work well under pressure.
Below is a brief list of some of the responsibilities expected of the Design Assistant role. As we are a small design firm, however, everyone wears a lot of hats and pitches in where needed. Consequently, your assistance may be requested on tasks beyond the description below.
Responsibilities:
• Drafting in CAD
• Maintenance of fabric library and all material returns
• Project paperwork filing
• Expediting
• General administrative tasks as needed
• Minimal personal tasks for Principal and Office maintenance as needed
• Price quote and product spec management with vendors
• Project schedule development and maintenance
• Assistance with sourcing furnishing, fabrics, materials & finishes
• Preparation for client meetings
• Assistance with installations, which may require travel
Requirements:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and Google Docs. Studio Designer knowledge a plus
• Familiarity with the SFDC showrooms and product lines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team
• Ability to assist with light moving as needed
• Valid driver’s license

Compensation : $55,000 - $75,000
