Job Description

This position encompasses both creative and management qualities and requires collaboration cross functionally with customer service, merchandising, design, marketing, and sales to oversee the Visual Merchandising Strategy for Hickory Chair.

Summary Position Description:
Develop and Lead Company's Visual Merchandising Strategy
Collaboration on New Product Development with President and VP of Merchandising
Edit and Develop an Outstanding/Visionary Fabric Selection for the Brand
Coordinate Trade Shows including High Point Furniture Market and Other Shows as Needed
Create Retail Packages
Collaborate with VP of Sales to Develop and Enhance Curated Retail Offerings based on Territory
Manage Trade Show Market Orders, including CAD floor plan, technical writing, submission, and specifications.
Collaborate with Merchandising Team for Fabric-to-Frame, ensuring availability of Fabric Selections, Quality Control/Best Practices.
Manage Aesthetic of High Point Experience including: music, staffing/support during Market, security staff, contractors, etc.
Trend Analysis, including emerging trends and styles
Present narratives for each Market to the Hickory Chair Executive Team
Inventory Management: Collaborate on inventory forecasting and allocation strategies to determine best product assortment for each Market Cycle.
Budget Management: Develop and Manage the Visual Merchandising Budget related to fixtures, props, decor, labor, etc.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.
Demonstrated experience of blending a creative role with strategic decision making
Extensive experience in visual merchandising, particularly in the furniture or luxury home decor sector.
Exceptional design sense and an ability to translate design concepts into compelling displays.
Strong understanding of furniture trends and styles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to travel to Highpoint Showroom and various Furniture Shows, as assigned
Must be Proficient in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
