It’s a new year, and with it comes new beginnings—for these brands, new showroom spaces. In our January roundup, Business of Home has gathered all the expansions and openings to have on your radar.
CALIFORNIA
Table game designer and furniture manufacturer 11 Ravens has opened a flagship showroom at Los Angeles’s Pacific Design Center in Suite B-117. The official launch ceremony will take place on February 11, with a full itinerary of virtual programming to kick off the company’s online tours and private in-person appointments.
FLORIDA
Armani/Casa has opened a new brick-and-mortar showroom in the Miami Design District. The brand’s contemporary silhouettes and refined lines are now available by appointment for in-person visits at 3820 Northeast 2nd Avenue.
B&B Italia, too, has landed at the Miami Design District, now located at 4141 Northeast 2nd Avenue. For the first time, the Italian furniture manufacturer will service the Miami design community at its 900-square-foot showroom space.
Also new to the Miami Design District is luxury mattress manufacturer Hästens. Nestled near the Liaigre and Shade Store showrooms, the Swedish sleep brand’s showroom offers both mattresses and its lines of sleep accessories.
Alessandra Branca has opened a new interior design office and Casa Branca showroom in Palm Beach. The hybrid retail-showroom space, located at 344 Worth Avenue, will service a growing number of projects in the region and marks the Chicago-based designer’s third brick-and-mortar location in the U.S.
Kitchen and bar designer Jim Dove has announced the opening of his second showroom and studio on Antique Row in West Palm Beach. This new location will supplement his existing showroom in Short Hills, New Jersey, featuring many of the same high-end lines—Aerin, Cambria, Christopher Spitzmiller, de Gournay and L’Atelier Paris, in addition to his own collection of bespoke cabinetry offerings.
NEW YORK
Designers Alexa Hampton and Thom Filicia have partnered to produce Market On the Move, a new pop-up showroom at the New York Design Center. From January 26 through the end of February, the pop-up will showcase both Hampton’s collection with Theodore Alexander and Filicia’s line with Vanguard Furniture—their latest product debuts from High Point Market—at 200 Lex.
Brazilian furniture designer Sossego has opened a new showroom at 200 Lex, bringing its array of contemporary offerings to the New York design community for the first time. The 2,300-square-foot flagship location was designed by Guilherme Wentz, featuring broad spans of windows and light-soaked vignettes.
INTERNATIONAL
London-based furniture designer Covet House has unveiled a new showroom concept inside a villa in St. Petersburg, Russia. The $8.5 million project is the first of the brand’s new series of experiential showrooms, blending hospitality and brand exposure in one luxury location.
British designer Tom Dixon has opened a new flagship store in Shanghai as part of the brand’s expansion in Asia, marking its third retail space in China. Located in Xintiandi, the showroom draws inspiration from the 100-year architectural history of the city, expressing his contemporary designs within a more traditional vernacular.
