Job Description

Studio Magness is seeking an energetic, highly organized, and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer to support the Principal across a range of responsibilities, including:

-Assisting in the oversight of large-scale, long-term high-end residential projects from concept through installation
-Communicating with architects, general contractors, craftsmen, and other project partners
-Sourcing furnishings, fabricators, textiles, and materials
-Contacting vendors for pricing, samples, and lead times
-Assisting in the development of client presentations
-Obtaining and tracking vendor quotes
-Supporting the creation of finish schedules
-Coordinating deliveries and installations
-Assisting on photo shoots
-Maintaining office tidiness, organizing samples and materials, and supporting general office tasks

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a collaborative team player who can multitask and is eager to learn. A strong passion for interior design and the creative process is essential. Prior experience at a high-end residential design firm is preferred but not required. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required; knowledge of AutoCAD, Studio Designer, and other design software is a plus.

Key Qualifications & Skills

-1–3 years of professional experience in a high-end residential interior design firm or related field
-Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related discipline
-Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
-Strong interest in interior design, luxury design and high-quality goods
-Team-oriented with strong communication skills
-Self-motivated with excellent time-management abilities
-Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
-Knowledge of industry vendors preferred
-Experience with AutoCAD, Studio Designer, and other design software is a plus

Benefits & Additional Information

Our health insurance plan may be joined after three months of employment. After six months, the firm covers 50% of the individual employee premium; the remaining premiums (individual or family) are paid pre-tax by the employee through our group plan. Additional benefits may include transportation support, access to industry events, and other firm-related opportunities. This position is classified as an at-will role.
