We are currently seeking a talented team member to join us in the role of Project Manager / Interior Designer. Jess Cooney Interiors is a vibrant interior design firm focused on high-end residential projects. To be considered for this position, you must have 3-5 years of residential Interior Design experience and a Bachelors or advanced degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
Applicants should have a high level of ability managing all phases of interior design development from inception to installation while simultaneously managing multiple projects of varying size and complexity. This position is solution oriented with high client, contractor and vendor interaction. Full-time / hybrid expectation (2–3 days/week in Great Barrington). Other qualities include: Excellent project management skills, a high level of attention to detail, a refined design vision, enthusiastic communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills to be considered:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with prior employment in high end residential interior design
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Interior Design or Interior Archtecture
- A high level of proficiency with Google Suite. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch up, Photoshop, InDesign, Design Manager preferred but not required.
Responsibilities Include
- Manage residential projects from conception to completion in the role of Project Manager
- Experience with and production of construction and design drawing sets
- Contribute to the development of design concepts, color, lighting and millwork
- Thorough knowledge of design processes, including, specifications, finish and material selection and product sourcing
- Create and maintain schedules, budget spreadsheets, proposals and purchase orders
- Review contractor/vendor documents with precise order tracking and installation scheduling
- Construction management
