Job Description

ROLE
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer with a passion for high-end residential interiors to join our collaborative team. The ideal candidate has a refined design sensibility, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate client visions into elevated, functional spaces. This position follows a hybrid work model: three days in-office and two days remote each week

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead projects from concept through completion, designing spaces that reflect WLI’s signature aesthetic while aligning with client goals and expectations.
• Manage all phases of the design process in close coordination with architects, builders, and contractors.
• Specify and procure all FF&E, including custom furniture.
• Produce detailed design drawings, including custom millwork, cabinetry, space plans, and renderings or sketches as needed
• Prepare comprehensive construction documents, finish schedules, and project timelines.
• Collaborate with the principal to shape and execute each project’s design vision.
• Provide creative direction and design leadership to the team, making informed decisions based on client goals and project criteria.
• Partner with the Director of Operations to manage project budgets and ensure resources and schedules remain on track.
• Conduct site surveys, take field measurements, lead site walkthroughs, and oversee final installation.
• Develop and lead client presentations, maintain proactive communication, and deliver exceptional client service throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay current on design trends, materials, and technologies to support thoughtful, forward-thinking design solutions.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in interior design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and Google Workspace
• Strong knowledge of furnishings, finishes, materials, and design detailing
• Understanding of construction methods and project documentation
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, adaptable, and motivated with excellent follow-through
• Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Valid drivers license
• Experience with 3D rendering software
• Proficiency of Studio Designer
