A well-established residential design studio is seeking an experienced Interior Designer. This is an in-person, full-time position in Manhattan Beach, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage multiple high-end residential projects, including renovations, and multi-million-dollar ground-up homes, from concept through completion
* Act as a liaison between the firm and clients, contractors, architects, consultants, and vendors
* Source and specify furnishings, fabrics, materials, lighting, and hardware
* Create tearsheets, mood boards, and design presentations
* Produce drawings: floor plans, furniture layouts, elevations, RCPs, and cabinetry in AutoCAD
* Create finish, lighting, and plumbing schedules
* Communicate with vendors on product details, pricing, and availability,
* Visit local workrooms to inspect custom furniture
* Oversee procurement: create budgets, proposals, and purchase orders
* Coordinate and manage shipments and deliveries with the designated warehouse
* Keep projects on schedule through consistent vendor coordination and advance planning
* Attend site visits and take detailed notes; create punch lists and meeting notes
* Coordinate delivery and installation
* 5+ years of experience with ground-up and remodel projects from inception through installation; ability to manage and execute all facets of residential design
* Excellent time management, project organization and follow-through skills
* Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects
* High level of attention to detail and professionalism
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Studio Designer
* Reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursable
