Heidi Lachapelle Interiors (HLI) is seeking an Interior Designer (level is flexible) to manage all aspects of their assigned projects from initial concept through install. HLI is a full-service residential design firm blending modern and traditional sensibilities to create spaces that are comfortable yet curated. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring project activities to ensure all goods and services align with design intent and studio standards. Candidates must be comfortable collaborating with a team, communicate clearly, and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment built on close collaboration with architects and builders.
Essential Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day operations for assigned projects
• Assist Principal with design concept development and presentation boards
• Collaborate efficiently to team members
• Create and floor and furniture plans in AutoCAD
• Design custom furniture and millwork via AutoCAD, and/or SketchUp
• Prepare and maintain detailed project budgets and schedules
• Prepare and maintain materials, plumbing, and lighting schedules, project punch lists, and meeting minutes
• Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure design intent, studio standards, and budget are being met
• Review shop drawings
• Source materials, furniture, hardware, tile, plumbing, paint, etc.
Required Skills / Experience
• 3-7 years of interior design project management experience, residential preferred
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and Studio Designer
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and sheet sets
• Understanding of design and construction terminology, scheduling, and planning concepts
• Strong organizational skills
• Must thrive in a fast-paced team environment
