The Role
As our Design Assistant, you'll support every phase of projects from concept through installation. This is a hands-on position where you'll contribute meaningfully from day one. You'll source exquisite furnishings from trade showrooms, develop presentation materials, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and help bring our clients' visions to life.
What You'll Do
You'll assist in developing concepts and mood boards, create detailed specifications and procurement schedules, conduct material and finish research, maintain our sample library, and prepare CAD drawings and floor plans. You'll manage purchase orders, track deliveries, coordinate installations, and communicate with our network of vendors and artisans. You'll also interface directly with clients—attending meetings, responding to inquiries, and ensuring they receive exceptional service throughout the process.
You have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and 1-3 years of experience, ideally in high-end residential or hospitality design. You're proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp, advanced in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and deeply knowledgeable about premier furniture, fabric, and finish resources. You understand construction documents and can draft clean, accurate drawings.
Beyond technical skills, you're a go-getter who takes initiative without being asked. You're organized enough to juggle multiple projects seamlessly, you bring positive energy even when deadlines are tight, and you genuinely geek out over the perfect hardware detail or textile. You're resourceful—finding creative solutions when challenges arise—and you're excited to grow with an ambitious team.
Bonus points for experience with rendering software (V-Ray, Enscape), knowledge of Studio Designer or similar project management software, familiarity with hospitality design, connections with high-end vendors, experience managing custom millwork, and a portfolio showcasing sophisticated residential or hospitality work.
