We're looking for a driven, design-savvy Business Development Representative to join our team at our Chicago showroom. If you have a genuine passion for interior design, a natural ability to connect with people, and a knack for opening doors — this role was built for you.
You'll be the face of our brands in Chicago and across the broader Midwest, cultivating relationships with interior designers, architects, real estate developers, and hospitality groups who are building the spaces that define how people live and work.
What You'll Be Doing:
-Representing our brands at our Chicago showroom, creating a welcoming and knowledgeable experience for visiting clients and trade professionals.
-Proactively reaching out to prospective trade clients across the Chicago metro area and neighboring Midwest states (IL, WI, IN, MO, MI, MN, OH)
-Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of leads across the residential, commercial, hospitality, and contract design sectors.
-Partnering closely with our design team to ensure a seamless client journey from first conversation to completed project.
-Attending industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to elevate brand visibility.
-Tracking activity, opportunities, and client interactions in our CRM system with consistency and accuracy.

What We're Looking For:
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the interior design industry, business development, or a client-facing sales role within a design-adjacent environment.
- Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing relationships.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills — you can speak fluently with a principal architect and a junior designer in the same afternoon.
- Comfort with regional travel; valid driver's license required.
- Experience using a CRM platform.
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
- An existing professional network within the Chicago design and architecture community.
- Familiarity with product specifications, FF&E, and the contract/commercial design process.
- Proficiency in presentation tools and comfort putting together compelling pitch materials.
- Understanding of project timelines and the procurement cycle in design projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Proficiency in Computer Assisted Design platforms [CAD].
- Experience in creating content and managing Social Media platforms.
