On Thursday, the morning keynote is “Something in the Air: The California Effect on Global Design & Style,” (March 22, from 10 to 11 a.m.) with Nardo and friends, and in the afternoon it’s “Global Heritage: Weaving Decorative History Into Modern-Day Masterpieces,” with Traditional Home’s Krissa Rossbund, Antiques Diva Toma Clark Haines and designers Lara Fishman and Gary Gibson. Major Drama
The Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre will deliver a one-night-only, dance performance of Once in a Whale at the PDC. Specially choreographed to highlight the design center’s noted architecture—the Center Blue lobby was designed by César Pelli in 1975—the show focuses on “the importance of human bonds and global climate concerns.” Catch it Friday, March 23, at 8:30 p.m., and buy your tickets online.
