Showrooms open from coast to coast

In EAL’s latest roundup of showroom openings the East Coast is showing up strong with six brands establishing new roots this month, and a smattering of others have set up shop on the West Coast. Of note, Holly Hunt, and Shaokao and Niki Cheng are trying out some new concepts, while Elizabeth+Grace Outdoor selected Chicago for the its debut.

East Coast
The Primary Essentials opened its second storefront, a new location in Manhattan, after being based in Brooklyn for the last four years. The store opening lined up with the launch of the brand’s first in-house collection, which founder Lauren Snyder collaborated with artisans in Brooklyn, Oaxaca, Marrakesh and India to create. Husband and wife Shaokao and Niki Cheng opened their first Camerich store in New York City. The 2,500-square-foot space features the brand’s contemporary furniture collections. The Chengs previously owned BoConcept stores in the city, and they opened three Calligaris stores this year. (144 W. 18th St., New York)

abc carpet & home

After closing its Bronx and Hackensack, New Jersey, locations, ABC Carpet & Home opened a new 78,000-square-foot location in Brooklyns Industry City. The retail location carries textiles, “good wood” sofas and beds, and other home accessories. (3906 2nd Ave., Brooklyn)

Also in the Industry City complex is a newly expanded IC STORE BY WANTEDDESIGN. The new space carries products from other Industry City tenants, including Danielle Trofe, Juniper, Egg Collective and Roll & Hill. (274 36th St., Brooklyn)

In the Stamford Waterside Design District, Holly Hunt opened a new showroom, Holly Hunt Off the Floor. The new space carries samples from Holly Hunt showrooms across the country, including furniture, lighting, rugs, accessories and textiles by the bolt. Porcelanosa

Porcelanosa’s latest showroom opened near the Miami Design District, showcasing 15 full bathroom vignettes and three full kitchen vignettes. The global tile, bath and kitchen company’s new space is 4,400 square feet and carries more than 1,000 products on-site. (3705 Biscayne Blvd., Miami)

Elizabeth+Grace Outdoor

Midwest
Elizabeth+Grace Outdoor opened a showroom at the Design Center at the Merchandise Mart, which was also the official launch for the family-owned brand. The showroom features handcrafted outdoor dining and lounge furniture. (222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, Suite 15-116, Chicago)

Belwith-Keeler unveiled a new showroom at the Merchandise Mart during Design Chicago earlier this October. The brand, founded in 1893, is known for its innovative hardware design. (222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, Suite 163, Chicago)

West Coast
As part of its West Coast expansion, Poppin opened a second showroom in California. The new space, located in Santa Monica, is 3,500 square feet and showcases the brands office design furniture. (1335 4th St., Santa Monica)

English furniture company George Smith opened a new showroom at the Pacific Design Center. In addition to the brands own offerings, the showroom will also be carrying products from Allan Knight, Bennison Fabrics, Best & Lloyd and O Ecotextiles. (8687 Melrose Ave., Suite West Hollywood, CA 90069

California-based H3K Design opened its recently renovated and expanded showroom in Palm Springs. The firm specializes in residential and commercial renovations, and to represent its work, there are facades of two classic midcentury modern residences in the new space. (501 S.
