PWD Studio is seeking a full-time Procurement Specialist and Studio Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for purchasing for design projects and ensures the accurate and efficient fulfillment of all related deadlines and procurement expectations. This role also includes the management of the Design Studio. This role reports directly to PWD’s financial leadership including PWD’s Founder and Creative Director and supports the overall success of high caliber projects.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for ordering and tracking products for large residential design-build projects and keeping the design team up to date on order status and delivery dates. You will work closely with interior designers and project managers throughout the entire life of a project(s), with multiple projects active at all times. As the Studio Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling reps and events for the Design Studio as well as keeping the Studio in top shape for client presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Place FF&E orders within established timeline-verify cost, shipping and delivery information; facilitate and record order payments in Studio Designer
- Check purchase orders against vendor acknowledgements; communicate and fix discrepancies
- Fill in required product tracking fields in Studio Designer; maintain accurate order status, lead-time and order delivery reports
- Enter inventory orders into Studio Designer. Maintain accurate inventory at all times.
- Work with designers to schedule installations with vendors.
- Coordinate and/or track all shipping logistics for completed orders with warehouse team, moving companies, and installers
- Manage inventory, track orders, and monitor production progress
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
- Place office orders and enter administrative expenses on a weekly basis.
- Set up trade and resale accounts and provide all necessary documentation
- Provide designers with new product ideas and updates
- Work in a supporting role to the founder and accountants
- Support for warehouse staff and intermittent time at warehouse for quality control
- Provide proactive guidance on needs for the Design Studio and organize periodic events in the Studio.
Job Requirements:
Ideal candidates should have at least 3 years professional experience in the design industry and possess the following traits or experience:
- Related experience in accounting or purchasing.
- Knowledge of Studio Designer software
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Strong work ethic with core values focused on being humble, hungry and smart.
- Must enjoy working in a collaborative environment and be a team player.
- Must be located in Charleston, SC and have a valid driver's license
