Pasadena Showcase House of Design
Pasadena, California | Through May 18
The 60th-anniversary home and garden showcase is housed in a 15,000-square-foot Monterey colonial mansion set on five acres. Featuring spaces designed by 30 local and national designers—among them Denise Bosley, Meredith Green and Gex Designs—the event raises money for the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts’ music and grant programs. St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild Decorators’ Show House & Gardens
Indianapolis | April 22–May 11
The Decorators’ Show House & Gardens returns, this time set in a 7,000-square-foot home in Indianapolis’s Meridian-Kessler neighborhood. More than 20 designers and landscape architects will transform the historic space, and all proceeds benefit the John & Kathy Ackerman Mental Health Professional Development Center at the Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center. Kansas City Symphony Designers’ Showhouse
Kansas City, Missouri | April 26–May 18
The setting for the showhouse’s 55th iteration is a home built around 1906 in Kansas City’s Roanoke Historic District. It features rooms designed by 24 local firms, including Will Brown Interiors and Susan Heitmann Design. One of the longest-running showhouses in the country, the event benefits the Kansas City Symphony. For more information, click here.
The 2025 Lake Forest Showhouse & Gardens
Lake Forest, Illinois | April 26–May 25
The 20th-anniversary Lake Forest Showhouse takes place in Pembroke Lodge, an 1895 home designed by architect Henry Ives Cobb, who is known for his work on the Union Club of Chicago, the Chicago Athletic Association Building and more. A roster of 45 interior and landscape designers—including Randy Heller, Anthony Michael and Katy Evans—will transform the house. This year’s honorary chair is celebrated designer Mary McDonald, who will sit in conversation with Frederic editor in chief and Schumacher chief creative officer Dara Caponigro. Coverings
Orlando | April 29–May 2
Coverings is one of the largest ceramic tile and natural stone fairs in the country, featuring over 1,000 exhibitors, including Breton, Ceramics of Brazil and Deccan Stones. Along with brands from 40 countries, the event will host educational and keynote presentations like the “ABCs of Sustainability” by Bill Griese, deputy executive director of the Tile Council of North America. Lenox Hill Neighborhood House Gala
New York | May 1
The annual spring gala to support the Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, a community-based organization serving the east side of Manhattan, returns to Cipriani 42nd Street. This black-tie evening showcases tablescapes by dozens of interior designers, including Andrea Stark, Ahmad AbouZanat and Christina Kim—each following this year’s theme, “La Dolce Vita.” For more information, click here.
The Ticking Tent
New Preston, Connecticut | May 3
This curated shopping event by creative consultant Benjamin Reynaert and communications specialist Christina Juarez welcomes more than 50 vendors from across the country, including Casa Branca, Eleish Van Breems, Philip Gorrivan Design and Dumais Made. Hosted at Spring Hill Vineyards, the gathering features a bouquet bar by Benjamin Moore and Robert Rufino (all proceeds benefit LA Can Do, the organization providing furniture for those displaced by the recent wildfires); a Via Carota craft cocktails bar; and a Vaughan lighting installation and giveaway. Midwest Design Retreat
Minneapolis | May 5–7
This three-day retreat for interior designers will offer strategies in marketing, profitability, scaling, vendor relationships and more. Taking place at the Hewing Hotel in Minneapolis, the event invites guests to take part in seminars on social media and publishing strategies and how to attract ideal clients. Speakers include Melissa Oholendt of Oho Interiors, Kate O’Hara of O’Hara Interiors, Katie Kath of Jkath Design Build + Reinvent, interior design business and life coach Desi Creswell, and the retreat’s founder, Jennifer Davis of Davis Interiors. The revitalized edition of the event formerly known as LCDQ Legends is now citywide, expanding outside of the La Cienega Design Quarter for its 15-year anniversary. This year follows the theme of “Wanderlust” and features a flurry of showrooms like Lawson-Fenning, Holly Hunt and Nickey Kehoe. This annual conference is the premier destination for hospitality design, giving designers of hotels, restaurants and resorts a chance to meet representatives and view product selections from more than 600 suppliers and 25 product categories. The Decorative Fair

This triannual fair unites over 130 dealers in antiques, fine and decorative art, and 20th century design in one place. TEFAF New York
New York | May 9–13
The 11th edition of the celebrated Dutch art fair’s New York outpost takes over the Park Avenue Armory, showcasing dozens of art and furniture dealers and galleries from around the world—including the likes of Charles Ede, Galerie Chenel and Gagosian—and featuring panels for industry professionals and art connoisseurs alike, including one on the impact of art deco on interior design today, and another on the future of classicism. London Craft Week
London | May 12-18
This British festival brings together more than 1,000 established and up-and-coming artists, designers and galleries from across the globe, including British ceramist Ali Hewson, South Korean textile maker Dahye Jeong and British furniture maker Holly Rollins. D&D Spring Market

NYCxDesign Festival

The annual weeklong festival—which includes hundreds of exhibits, trade shows, and architecture, interior, urban and landscape design tours across New York City—is ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of attendees. Shelter

Afternoon Light is launching its inaugural three-day market, Shelter, during New York’s design week. ICFF & Wanted
New York | May 18–20
The International Contemporary Furniture Fair returns to the Javits Center for its 36th anniversary, with over 450 global exhibitors showcasing contemporary furniture, accessories, lighting, textiles and more. Talks this year include one on how sensory design shapes inclusive spaces and another on slow design and the benefit of bespoke. Wanted (formerly WantedDesign Manhattan) also offers a slew of programs, including a space called Launch Pad that showcases emerging furniture, accessories and lighting designers, and Look Book, an in-person portfolio for industry members. Design Social Darien

Design Social is popping up in Darien this month, connecting interior designers with the artisans and entrepreneurs behind boutique brands from around the country. Clerkenwell Design Week

The 14th edition of Clerkenwell Design Week boasts more than 600 showroom events, nearly a dozen curated exhibits, numerous installations, and a plethora of talks and programs that showcase the leading interior brands across the globe.
