September has arrived, and new autumn-ready collections are launching left and right. From bar stools upholstered in vintage quilts to pendant lights with ruffled glass shades, feast your eyes on some of our favorite debuts of the past week.
Hot off the heels of its inaugural bath debut, Four Hands launched its first line of wallpapers. Now available exclusively to the trade, the collection boasts 20 contract-grade, bathroom-safe designs based on original works from the Austin-based brand’s roster of contemporary artists, including Matera’s enveloping Penumbra I mural and the painterly Wild Flowers by Roseanne Kenny.
Fritz Hansen unveiled its latest collaborations with Cecilie Manz. The first, Monolit, features a sculptural upholstered chair that evokes the appearance of solid stone, while the second reimagines the Danish industrial designer’s multifunctional Pouf—which can be used as a footrest, side table or extra seat—in array of muted colorways.
New Zealand textile designer Emma Hayes rolled out two dreamy new wallcoverings named Aqueous and Celestial. The former mimics the rhythmic lines of brushstrokes and comes in six versatile colorways, while the latter—available in five ethereal hues—showcases an atmospheric motif that draws inspiration from the skies above.
Aloka debuted a circularity-fueled line of benches and stools. Offered in three hardwood finishes, each piece from the craft-driven collection is handmade in Hickory, North Carolina, and bedecked in a cushion swathed in one of the brand’s highly collectible one-of-a-kind vintage kantha quilts.
West Elm Kids tapped children’s book author (and Instagram's director of fashion partnerships) Eva Chen to create her first-ever collection of homewares. The sprightly collab offers more than two dozen stylish yet youthful bedroom designs ranging from color-blocked lamps and a squiggle-shaped play table with coordinating stools to a lofted bed with a built-in reading nook and a height-adjustable desk (for growing adolescents).
Philadelphia-based studio RTO Lighting expanded the palette for its leather-wrapped Yaffa series. New colorways include the sunbaked golden Spruce, the reddish-brown Cognac and the richly pigmented Black, which are offered for multiple sizes of pendants and swing-arm sconces, all available through the Fair showroom at the New York Design Center.
Soho Home dropped its autumn/winter 2024 collection. The sweeping launch introduces the brand’s first-ever drapery and entryway storage designs, as well as standouts such as the blue-quartzite-clad Murcell dining table; the channel-tufted Hamish sofa; and Witley, a gently rounded vanity with reeded door fronts and your choice of a Napoli green or white Carrara marble top.
Kallista unveiled a sophisticated line of modernist fixtures named Guise. Available in five distinct finishes, the series includes a gently curved faucet that’s handcrafted from a single piece of metal to ensure a seamless look, and coordinating handles that are hard-fired in translucent enamel to forge a slightly shimmery effect.
ABC Carpet & Home’s Flatiron line is a love letter to New York living. The architectural collection spans 13 small-space-savvy designs with sleek, square-footage-friendly frames, including a petite stool with chartreuse upholstery; a slender, brass-shelf bookcase; and a clean-lined armoire with crescent-shaped doors adorned in a shiny metallic motif.
McGee & Co. teamed up with beloved fashion brand Loeffler Randall for an exclusive collaboration. The delightfully dainty debut offers everything from ruffled pillows and a tulip-accented gingham tablecloth to scalloped ceramic wares and a pendant light with a frilly fluted glass shade.
