Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse
Atlanta | November 20–December 14
Hosted by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, Atlanta’s 17th annual holiday showhouse is designed by a group of the region’s top designers. This year’s talent lineup includes Patricia McLean, Valerie Garrett and Jessica Whitley, each of whom will design a space in a 7,500-square-foot contemporary home by architect Linda MacArthur. The finished space will host tours, events and product demonstrations, with all proceeds to benefit Atlanta History Center. For more information, click here.
Miami Art Week
Miami | December 1–7
Encompassing all of Miami’s annual art events, this festival features everything from pop-ups and exhibits to public art installations. The celebration includes Art Basel and Art Miami—the second-most-attended contemporary art fair in the world—as well as several satellite events, including Design Miami; the AfriKin Art Fair, showcasing works by African artists; and PhotoMiami, the week’s only photocentric show. Design Miami
Miami Beach | December 3–7
Like its sister event in Paris, the Miami Beach outpost of the global forum for collectible design brings together art enthusiasts, experts and designers from far and wide. The annual event, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, takes place right beside Art Basel at the Miami Beach Convention Center and features dozens of exhibitions of historical and contemporary furniture, lighting and art, as well as a program of design talks. Charleston Design Social
Charleston, South Carolina | December 4
Design Social is popping up in Charleston, connecting interior designers with the artisans and entrepreneurs behind boutique brands from around the country. Representatives from dozens of bespoke textile, wallcovering, lighting and furniture companies will be on hand to mingle with guests at The Cedar Room. Visitors are invited to attend a design conversation with Veranda executive editor Ellen McGauley and interior and textile designers Peter Dunham, Carolina Irving and Penny Morrison. Dialogues on Design with Andre Mellone

For the latest installment of NYSID’s Dialogues on Design, The Business of Home Podcast host Dennis Scully catches up with Andre Mellone. The Brazilian-born designer launched his New York–based studio in 2012 after working for top industry talents like Robert A.M. Stern, Mark Hampton, Greg Jordan, Ferguson & Shamamian, and Sawyer Berson. Now, Mellone specializes in residential, commercial, product and retail design, and has a roster of buzzy fashion industry clients that include Thom Browne, Carolina Herrera, Jason Wu and The Row. Holiday Bazaar at Tim Clarke Design

Interior design studio Tim Clarke Design is hosting a holiday market featuring a selection of bespoke gifts from brands like Commune Shop, Aerin, Maison Plage and more. All gifts will be packaged in Soolip paper, which will host a gift-wrapping event on December 6 with founder Wanda Wen, who will teach guests everything including measuring paper and ribbon, tying bows, folding crisp corners and wax sealing. This annual event showcases top-notch art of all mediums, from painting and photography to sculpture and digital media. The 23rd anniversary fair features hundreds of galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia displaying modern and contemporary works as well as pieces from emerging artists. Field + Supply NYC Holiday MRKT

For the first time, Field + Supply is hosting its annual holiday market in Manhattan. Head to the Starrett-Lehigh Building and get your holiday shopping done as you peruse more than 100 curated brands, including Wild Arc Farm, Carla Colour and Ilex Studio, alongside new vendors such as Sanchai, Suzanne Kumar Ceramics and Odette New York.
