A new hire at Hearst, IMC expands digital division, and more

MEDIA & PR

Randi MacColl was named associate publisher and group marketing director of Hearst Magazines and Discovery Inc.’s joint venture titles, including Food Network, HGTV and The Pioneer Woman magazines. MacColl was formerly chief marketing officer at Sweeten, a home renovation platform. She has also held senior roles at 1stdibs, Architectural Digest and Gourmet. She began her role on March 16 and is now in charge of all marketing initiatives and cross-promotional alignments in food, decor and lifestyle for the three titles. “It’s thrilling to join this powerhouse team,” MacColl said in a statement. “These are best-in-class brands that entertain, educate and elevate daily life in such a positive way. I’ve been a fan of the magazines—and the networks—since day one, and look forward to building upon their success.”

DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE

Bronwyn Ford, who joined Charlotte, North Carolina–based Pursley Dixon Architecture in 2013, has been named partner and principal designer of Pursley Dixon Ford Interior Design. Ford has had her own studio in the past, for which she received an American Society of Interior Designers award of excellence in residential design.

Philadelphia and New York firm Francis Cauffman Architects appointed Liz Archer as business development and client relations manager. She will grow the New York office’s corporate interiors market share and oversee business development for health care, science and technology, medical equipment planning, urban planning and higher education markets.

MANUFACTURING & RETAIL

International Market Centers’s new digital division, IMC_di, has grown its team recently. It has appointed Marisa Garcia as senior director of customer success and Andrew Meeks as director of marketing, and retained Mary S. Moore as a consultant. The company is still hiring new staff for its IMC_di offices in Juno Beach, Florida, and Chantilly, Virginia.

Erin Sullivan will lead the outdoor furniture line of Lenoir, North Carolina–based Bernhardt Exteriors. The brand launched this past October; Sullivan is now its director. Before, she was vice president of product development and merchandising at Fine Furniture Design, and has held the role of vice president and general merchandise manager of furnishing brand Frontgate.

Dania Beach, Florida–based wine-serving appliance brand Plum has expanded its leadership team with the hires of Andreas Hansen as global consumer president and Justin Dopp as vice president of finance and accounting. Hansen hails from Liebherr Appliances for the Americas, where he was president. Dopp was most recently senior director of finance and treasurer at Chewy.

Glen Mills, Pennsylvania–based shower head and plumbing manufacturer Speakman has hired Sharmin Welch as director of distribution sales. Welch previously spent two decades at Kohler Co.
