London-based design firm Helen Green Design is inviting designers-in-training to apply for the Green Ribbon Award, recognizing children’s design talents.

Announces the firm, “With the objective of designing the coolest kids’ room in the world, the award is split into three age categories: 12 and under, 13–15 years, and 16–18 years.” There is a prize of about $625 for winners in each category, and the 16–18 category winner will also be offered a week of work experience at Helen Green Design.

The contest provides a template: a room with four walls and floor and ceiling that “can be filled with anything that a child’s imagination desires.” The entrants are “encouraged to use a variety of formats—be it the written word, drawing or collage—to bring their designs to life.”

The deadline is November 12. Apply here.
