Showroom Manager & Interior Design Assistant
Company: Manes Architecture & Interiors
Duration: Part-time
Date Posted: 09/09/26
Category: Interior Design
Location: Brooklyn
Salary: 50-100k
Job Description

Manes Studio is seeking a highly organized, creative, and design-minded Showroom Manager to join our team in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. The primary focus of this role is managing and growing our retail showroom, with the opportunity to also assist our architecture and interiors practice with design-related work.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the home goods industry who can take real ownership of the showroom—creating an engaging customer experience, maintaining a beautifully merchandised space, building relationships with retail and trade clients, and helping us develop new ways to increase traffic, sales, and awareness.

Beyond day-to-day operations, we want a creative thinker who will bring ideas to the table. We are excited to find someone who can help us strategize interesting and innovative approaches to merchandising, events, partnerships, marketing, trade outreach, product sourcing, and community engagement.

Interior design skills are a plus and will allow the candidate to become involved in our project work, assisting the firm's principal designers with drawings, sourcing, presentations, procurement, and other design-related tasks. However, the ability to take ownership of the showroom and help build a successful retail business is the most important aspect of this position.

Job Requirements

Responsibilties:
*Manage all day-to-day showroom operations, including customer service, Shopify POS, inventory, orders, merchandising, and vendor coordination
*Build relationships with retail and trade clients and help develop strategies to increase showroom traffic, engagement, and sales
*Assist with events, partnerships, marketing, social media, merchandise sourcing, and other creative initiatives to grow Manes Studio
*Support the principal designers as needed with AutoCAD drawings, sourcing, presentations, samples, specifications, procurement, and project installations

Qualifications:
*2–5 years of relevant professional experience required
*Experience working in home goods retail, furniture, home furnishings, or a design showroom required
*Strong understanding of the home goods industry, including furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories, materials, and vendors
*Creative and entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in helping grow a retail/showroom business
*Strong eye for design and merchandising, with excellent organizational, communication, and customer-service skills
*Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva required
*Must be available to work weekends
*Must be available to start immediately
*Interior design education or professional design experience preferred; Shopify experience required

This is a part-time, in-person position based at our Cobble Hill showroom and design studio.

The position is approximately 3–4 days per week, including weekends, with the exact schedule and number of days depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and ability to support both the showroom and our interior design work.

There is potential for this position to grow into a full-time role for a candidate who takes ownership of the showroom, contributes meaningfully to its growth, and becomes an integral part of our business.
