We are looking for a senior-level designer who can bring both creative refinement and operational excellence to the studio.
Kati Curtis Design is seeking a highly capable, detail-obsessed Senior Interior Designer / Project Lead who is excited by richly layered, high-end residential interiors and understands what it takes to bring them to life. This role is about being the right fit for a fast-moving, highly creative studio known for colorful, soulful, globally inspired luxury. We are looking for someone who can support and elevate the Kati Curtis Design vision while also bringing structure, accountability, and excellence to every phase of a project.
The ideal candidate has a strong decorative eye, a deep understanding of classical design details, and the project management discipline to keep complex work moving. They are fluent in Studio Designer, comfortable managing vendors and client-facing details, and able to balance beauty with budgets, timelines, approvals, procurement, and installation logistics.
This person should love the details - fabrics, trims, custom furniture, wallcoverings, art, accessories, lighting, and all the layered decisions that make a KCD interior feel expressive, personal, and complete. They should also be proactive, precise, communicative, and comfortable working in a studio where creativity, high standards, and follow-through matter equally.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in high-end residential interior design, preferably in classical and beaux arts styles with a contemporary twist
- Strong project management skills and the ability to independently run multiple moving parts
- Advanced proficiency in Studio Designer is required
- Experience managing proposals, purchase orders, specifications, approvals, and procurement
- Strong knowledge of luxury furniture, fabric, lighting, wallpaper, rug, and custom workroom resources
- Strong eye for color, pattern, scale, proportion, styling, and layered interiors
- Ability to manage deadlines, vendors, client expectations, and installation logistics
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-heavy studio environment
- Revit and drafting experience including highly detailed millwork and custom furniture
- Strong writing skills for client updates, meeting recaps, and vendor communication
- Experience working with discerning private clients and luxury residential budgets
