NYC Architecture and Interiors studio seeks talented, hard working full time Interior Designer. Excellent communication skills and experience working on architectural interiors, including millwork and drawings and elevations is required. 3+ years of experience.
Tasks include:
• Manage all aspects of the design process from research and ideation, to creative conceptualization and design.
• Collaborate with team and clients to research and develop cohesive design plans & concepts. • Lead project towards successful design and project implementation.
• Present design recommendations & options to clients and management
• Act as a steward of client finances by monitoring client / projects budgets
• Troubleshoot issues throughout design and implementation phases of project.
• Assistance in managing all aspects of projects from consultation to installation
• Creating design and furniture layouts via Vectorworks
• Sourcing materials and FFE
• Creating Presentation Materials, including:
• Concept boards, tear sheets, slide decks
• Procuring & organizing samples for presentation purposes
• Onsite Project Tasks
• Survey existing spaces, measure on-site dimensions, take photos for reference
• Site visits
• Supervision of Install
• General Design Project Management
• Obtain pricing and formal quotes on product, materials & textiles
• Creating & revising Specification Schedules (examples include: paint, plumbing
fixture, appliance, and lighting schedules)
• General:
• Communicating with team members, contractors, clients
• Tracking of orders
• Software
• Vectorworks
• Adobe Creative Suite
