Job Description

Lauren Carlucci Studio is a New York based residential interior design studio creating highly personal, layered interiors with an emphasis on craftsmanship, materiality, and thoughtful detail. We are seeking a highly organized Studio Operations Coordinator to support studio operations and residential projects. Working closely with the Principal, this person will manage project administration, procurement coordination, scheduling, and financial tracking.

This is primarily an operational and administrative role for someone who enjoys logistics, spreadsheets, systems, and keeping projects moving.

Responsibilities include:

- Maintain project files, schedules, meeting notes, decision logs, and follow-up items.
- Coordinate meetings and track deadlines, approvals, and outstanding information.
- Maintain procurement records in Studio Designer, including quotes, proposals, purchase orders, and order tracking.
- Track client approvals and funding, place approved orders as directed, and verify order confirmations and specifications.
- Follow up on production and delivery timelines; coordinate freight, receiving, storage, and installation logistics.
- Manage damages, claims, replacements, and credits through resolution.
- Coordinate with vendors, workrooms, fabricators, and trades on samples and custom production.
- Maintain budgets and assist with invoice reconciliation, payment tracking, and financial reviews alongside the bookkeeping team.
- Improve studio procedures, templates, checklists, and internal resources.
- Support sample-library organization, installations, photography, and project closeout.

The position offers exposure to design-studio activities, with a primary focus on operations and administration.

Compensation: $30-$40 per hour, commensurate with experience. Exceptional candidates with significant procurement, operations, or Studio Designer experience may be considered above this range.

-Approximately 2–5 years of experience in operations, project coordination, purchasing, administration, accounting, logistics, interior design, architecture, or a related field.
-Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
-Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and detailed tasks simultaneously.
-Strong numerical skills and confidence with spreadsheets, budgets, and financial records.
-Clear, professional communication with clients, vendors, contractors, and trades.
-Initiative and the ability to anticipate next steps and move tasks forward independently.
-Calm problem-solving skills and flexibility within a small, entrepreneurial studio.
-Discretion with confidential client and financial information.
-An interest in the operational side of a creative business.

Experience with Studio Designer, Google Workspace, Excel or Google Sheets, residential design procurement, freight and receiving, or trade-account management is highly valued.

Interior design experience is welcome but not required. Training will be provided on studio-specific systems and processes.
