It’s Labor Day weekend, and fortunately, there’s a fresh crop of newly launched collections to scroll through while kicking back at the pool. From hand-printed floral fabrics to cashmere-upholstered bed frames, here are some of the most memorable releases from the past week.
Botswana-based Mabeo Studio debuted a stunning series named Lesire. Available exclusively through Design Within Reach, the line pays homage to traditional South African crochet patterns and showcases seven sculptural panga panga wood furniture pieces punctuated by hand-carved scalloped details.
Glant rolled out the aptly named Roman Holiday line. In addition to an array of new colorways for the brand’s bestselling Cotton Velvet, highlights from the 28-piece collection include a performance tweed called Trastevere, as well as Villa Borghese, a graphic geometric weave named after the legendary Italian gardens.
Arhaus just premiered its Fall 2024 collection. The sweeping launch spans hundreds of sumptuous pieces across multiple categories, with showstoppers such as the cashmere-upholstered Wyller bed; the sandblasted solid-stone Serafin console table; and the gently rounded, buttery smooth, camel-colored leather Micah bench.
Bassett McNab’s Revival line is brimming with botanical intrigue. The collection—which features the brand’s first wallcovering launch in years—offers a sprightly mix of fabrics and papers outfitted in colorful floral designs, with standouts such as the hand-screen-printed Hydrangea and the pomegranate-clad Ariel.
Schumacher tapped Houston-based designer Paloma Contreras to create an assortment of embroidered trims. The sophisticated series offers six delightful tapes ranging from the sinuous Royere Scroll and the door rivet–inspired Porte Parisien to the stippled French knot–embellished Margo Fret and Maison Vine, a cotton-linen charmer adorned in a rhythmic laurel design.
Danish design studio Louise Roe revealed the super sleek Spina seating family. Crafted in solid oak, the trio takes its name from the Latin word for “spine” and consists of a side chair, lounge chair and stool, each with a circular seat and three legs—including a wider centered one in the back to emphasize the importance of straight posture.
Natasha Baradaran released Aura in honor of the brand’s 10th anniversary. The fashion-forward series boasts 15 furniture designs that celebrate the Los Angeles studio’s elevated SoCal aesthetic, such as the sweeping Arco chaise; the sunbaked Brera stool; and our favorite, Lago, a pair of nesting tables with burnished brass bases and bleached ash tops accented in vegan parchment.
Textile artist Laura Park’s Porto line is an ode to ancient Portuguese architecture. Offered as custom yardage or ready-made pillows, the debut—which officially launches on Tuesday, September 3, but is now available to the trade—features 10 coastal-style patterns based on Park’s original artwork, including the azulejo-esque Porto Tiles, the painterly Ocean Breeze and the kaleidoscopic Pink Street.
Marble Lotus introduced the Jodhpur collection into its heritage-fueled portfolio of South Asian artisan-made designs. Hand-sculpted in India using centuries-old techniques, newcomers include the papier-mâché Chaand, black clay Raat and silver-finished Noor.
Riva Spain’s Moss line will transform your client’s walls into a dreamy vertical garden. Sustainably harvested from European forests, the all-natural surface material comes in multiple textures and doubles as decorative art while supplying everything from wellness benefits to humidity control and sound absorption.
