A design and design object sale totaling 60-plus pieces from the personal collection and former gallery of Murray Moss will run through September 9 on auction site Paddle8. The pieces up for auction all hail from luminaries including Ted Muehling, Maarten Baas, Phillipe Starck and the Campana Brothers as well as others Moss worked with during his 18 years in Soho.

Some highlights include Konstantin Grcic's porcelain Haute Couture Tea Service; Vera Iachia's Vision rug, created of Arraiolos wool; and Josef Hoffmann’s Series B Champagne cups.

Jason Stein, Paddle8's senior design specialist, shares, "Murray Moss and Franklin Getchell are legendary arbiters of taste, style and all things cool, and Paddle8 is thrilled to be selling this specially selected group of design that was formed by aficionados for aficionados. With key objects from designer's who were made into stars at Moss and groups of objects that were personally assembled by Murray, this sale presents collectors with a rare and very special opportunity to acquire works from the holdings of one of the most important design galleries that has ever existed."

Some of Stein's top picks include the Golden Still Life Pitcher by Studio Job; the Grotto Chair from Michael Von Jakubowski; and Marcel Wanders' Skygarden S Suspension Lamp. Discover all of the offerings online.

The gallery closed in 2012. Since then, Moss and his life and business partner, Getchell, opened Moss Bureau LLC, a design consultancy that provides services to different design industries, including helping museums reimagine their retail outposts as well as other interior design projects. Moss also recently wrote two books for Rizzoli and is currently at work with Getchell on a third tome.
