The temperatures are beginning to cool, and design brands are gearing up for the season ahead with a slew of fashionable new releases. From checkered passementerie trims to acid-washed sconces, here are some of our favorite launches from the past week.
Weitzner’s Kindred collection is an ode to connectivity. Punctuated by organic materials and interlaced motifs, the handcrafted selection features more than a dozen fabrics—including three window upholsteries and two outdoor-friendly styles—as well as six wallcoverings, such as the celestial Nexus and an ikat-embroidered wonder named Holi that’s digitally printed on a grasscloth ground.
Samuel & Sons rolled out two fanciful new collections just in time for fall. The first, Orange Hill Farm, features the brand’s inaugural collaboration with Mark D. Sikes and offers three unique lines inspired by classic patterns like rosettes, stripes and checks. The second, Belvedere, boasts a sumptuous assortment of velvet borders, such as the architectural Dorian and the scrolled Linora.
Stark unveiled its latest collaboration with Missoni. The launch spans more than two dozen dazzling floorcoverings adorned in the legendary Italian fashion house’s vibrant color-blocked motifs, among them the zigzagging Layers; the ombre Deep Stripe; and Bleached, a hand-knotted stunner with a kaleidoscopic chevron pattern.
Jamie Stern tapped New Jersey designer Rachael Grochowski of RHG Architecture + Design for the Infinity collection. The collaboration boasts four seating styles, including two chairs and a pair of sofas, showcasing soft sensuous curves and gently rounded backrests that can be upholstered in any of the brand’s fabrics and leathers or the client’s own materials.
CB2 dropped its Fall 2024 collection, featuring more than 100 fresh new SKUs. Highlights from the sweeping launch include everything from the channel-tufted Fitz sofa to the performance fabric–upholstered Norrie dining armchair and our current crush, Angeli, a round cast aluminum dining table with a honed Saint Laurent marble top.
Four Hands has released its first-ever bath collection. Available now to the trade and through Perigold in November, the debut features two Carrara marble–topped vanities in single and double sizes, as well as a medley of modern mirrors (we love the antiqued iron–accented Chico) and light fixtures such as the chic spherical Glass Globe pendant by Schwung and the iridescent, acid wash–finished Janna sconce.
Minneapolis-based furniture brand Blu Dot launched a delightful Fall 2024 collection. In addition to the voluptuous Looksee swivel lounge chair and the hardware-free Cursive desk, noteworthy newcomers from the 25-piece line include the marble-and-metal Plateau table and the sinuous Bustle sofa.
SoCal lighting brand Cerno teamed up with interior tastemaker Leah Bradley on a limited-edition design. The coastal-fueled collab introduces the well-balanced Linea Selva chandelier, a handmade marvel with an oiled white oak frame and two dangling handblown smoky topaz glass shades that evokes a surfer riding a wave.
Thibaut’s Vista collection is a love song to the great outdoors. Brimming with earthy mineral tones and organic motifs, the line is composed of 11 fabrics and 10 wallcoverings that draw from the hues and shapes of the natural landscape, ranging from the mountain peak–like Ridge Weave upholstery to the graphic, tapestry-esque Alpine paper.
Knoll reintroduced the legendary Tugendhat chair by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Originally designed in 1929, the streamlined steel design is available with or without armrests, and showcases a leather-strapped back and an ergonomic cantilevered base in two distinct finishes, chrome and painted matte black.
